Young Lions Roar is a youth-centered arts and empowerment 501c3 organization based in the Quad Cities. We use poetry, performance, and creative writing as tools for mental wellness, reading/writing development, and inviting youth into creatively expressing themselves. Founded with a vision to amplify the voices of young people—especially Black, Brown, and marginalized youth—our programs center radical imagination, self-expression, and leadership development.

Through workshops, after school programs, home school programs, professional developments, open mics, and public events, we create spaces where young artists can roar: to speak truth, claim their power, and shape a better world. At Young Lions Roar, we believe in guiding and empowering youth to Make Good Art— Art that is Honest, Art that is Productive, Art that gives Life.
